Please observe the protocols at all times and adhere to any requests as per the Marshalls.
Stay healthy, Stay Safe,
As you will be aware the Government has today introduced a further range of measures aimed at preventing the spread of the Covid-19 virus in the community. These measures see the introduction of new and more stringent restrictions on movement of individuals.
In light of these new measures , and in line with the advice of GUI / ILGU, the Management Committee have decided that the golf course should be closed until the 19th April. No access will be allowed to the course for golf while this measure remains in place. This decision will, no doubt, come as a disappointment to many of you who welcomed the opportunity get out in the fresh air and play golf over recent days but we must play our part in safeguarding the health of our local community in these very difficult times. Hopefully this restriction will be short lived.
We also need to safeguard the future of our Club for when this emergency ends – as it inevitably will. The main focus of our efforts in the coming weeks therefore will be to ensure the welfare of our staff while continuing to maintain the course so that the high standard that has been achieved over recent years will be preserved for when we re-open for play .
The office will continue to be managed remotely and the General Manager can be contacted at (085) 2811806 to answer any urgent queries you might have.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this difficult time and we will continue to communicate with you as matters develop.
Stay safe and well,
Kind regards,
Chris Fitzgerald
Honorary Secretary
On behalf of the Management Committee
